Jurassic Music Turned LP

Old school hip-hop revivalists The Jurassic 5 are back! But only on CD with many thanks to Decon Records for bringing them back from the dead by turning debut EP “J5″ to a reissued version LP. Having enjoyed a solid 7 or more years together, the dino quintet soon started breaking up in 2004 and finally officially split up after 2007.
Even though “J5″ has been out of print since 2004, the new and improved version includes the material tacked on to create the 1997 ‘full-length’ with a bonus disc of exclusive and rare tracks. It also comes with a documentary called The Jurassic Period, 30-minutes of performance footage in the form of Jurassic 5 at Brixton Academy, and the video for “Concrete Schoolyard”.
The purpose of Decon Records bringing back this almost dead album was to not let such music be forgotten to create a ”now this is golden age hip-hop!” feel. Though having the remake of the debut resurfaced again, but unfortunately The Jurassic 5 remain broken with members Chali 2na, Cut Chemist, DJ Nu-Mark, and Akli doing their own solo acts.
